My Entrepreneurship Story
Entrepreneurship is all around us. It fuels the way society can go about their daily tasks. That being said, one of my biggest experiences with entrepreneurship was when I was 16 years old. During this time I was a big advocate of playing lacrosse. I originally moved from New York where the sport was a lot bigger so when I cam to Florida I was stunned to see that there was not much of a following. This as you can predict was my opportunity. With the help from my father and some of my little league coaches, we were able to create a travel lacrosse team in my town. On this team we would travel all over Florida playing in different tournaments to better our skills and knowledge of the sport. This caused the sport to grow in my town and has now become a prominent sport within high schools in my district. Looking back on this I can actually see how much of an impact we made, this is part of the reason why I am taking ENT 3003. I know that entrepreneurship aides people everyday and I want to be apart of that. I am also taking this class because I am interested in minoring in entrepreneurship.

It is admirable that you took the initiative to solve a problem that you identified. It must be rewarding and encouraging to look back and see the fruits of your labor. I think you are well on your way to becoming a successful entrepreneur. Good Luck

ReplyDeleteThat is great that you help set up the sport in Florida. I know it is not at the same level as New York, but when I was coming up there was no lacrosse teams around. Now I am starting to see them pop up all over the state, and it is because of people like you. I have always taken interest in lacrosse, and if it was around when I was growing up, I would have defiantly gone out for the team.
