Week 3 Reading Reflection

After reading chapter 2, the biggest surprise I had was all the problems there are with becoming an entrepreneur. Not only is there a chance that your business fails. But there are also chances that you personally are affected by this business. If you put your entire self into one project and that project does not work out, you are going to be damaged. However, some confusion arose with this because I do not truly agree that you can fully account for some psychological damage to come from entrepreneurship. One question I have for the author that I may find out in later chapters is whether or not he has had failed business attempts an also if he has had  successful business attempts at entrepreneurship. It seems to me he knows a lot about the subject of entrepreneurship but it would be interesting to see what ideas he has had with all the knowledge he has had. I feel like because he knows so much about this discipline, he should know when to execute an idea and when not to. One thing I would disagree with the author is the fact that he put optimism as a downfall of entrepreneurship. I disagree because if someone is optimistic about their opportunity, even if they fail at this, they will still look at the bright side of the failure, then perhaps they will be able to look for another opportunity instead of "beating a dead horse".
