Week 2 Reading Reflection

After reading the given chapter for this week, it raised a lot of thoughts in my head. For instance I would ask the author, why did it start with myths about entrepreneurship before it truly defined what entrepreneurship is, this seems to provoke some ideas in readers that may cause them to not read about what entrepreneurship is. One thing that surprised me about the reading was the fact of how helpful to our country as a whole entrepreneurship really is. It creates so many jobs and makes life so much easier. The reading stated that in the last ten years, there have been 600,000 new start-ups...per year. That is an insane number when you think about how many different products and services were created. However, one part of the reading that was confusing me was the end of the reading about entrepreneurial management, this seemed like a lengthy concept and was defined with very tricky wording. This is probably because it may be discussed later in the book. I feel like the author was wrong about how he said that "all companies wither and die", I disagree that all companies do that. There are some companies that will have an infinite life because of what it provide and how the demand for this product will never end, take for instance some types of medicine where their is no cure for a disease. Another question I would ask the author would be why did he stray away from using images, excluding diagrams,  to get the information across to his readers. I understand that he m may have tried to be more professional with this textbook but even I can admit to the fact that I can understand more when their are photos along with the material, it helps me make connections.
